Jeep hasn’t decided the model name of this pickup and some journalists are suggesting that Mike Manley might use the name Scrambler or Gladiator. The Jeep Pickup Truck 2018 will use the Wrangler structure, but it will be extended so that it can accommodate the cargo bed. Wrangler’s new chassis will help this pickup truck to stay stable in both on-road and off-road drive. Some reports are suggesting that Jeep will use some lightweight material or plastic to shed down extra it was going to get.
Apart from all these, exterior detailing is expected to remain same as its parent Wrangler SUV. The rear portion of the truck will get a more aggressive bumper so that it can complement the overall look. The dashboard will borrow the 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Uconnect, satellite navigation, audio connectivity, etc., from Wrangler’s cabin. The cluster gauge might receive a TFT screen which will surely enhance the exquisite interior. Apart from all these, it will carry all kind of safety and security system that are standard in Wrangler.
2018 Jeep Pickup Truck – Engine Specs
The 2018 Jeep Pickup Truck is projected to get both gasoline and diesel powertrain. The gasoline version will be a 3.6 liter Pentastar V-6 that can easily generate 300 hp and 270 lb-ft while the diesel unit will be a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel that can produce 240 hp and 420 lb-ft.
Both the gasoline and diesel unit will get eight-speed ZF automatic transmission system with 2WD and 4WD option. The exact detail of fuel economy is still unknown, but it will be par with the mileage of Wrangler.

According to unconfirmed sources, the starting price of Jeep Pickup Truck 2018 will stay around $25,000, but there is a possibility that the price might change slightly. It is expected to start its sale before 2019 although there isn’t a confirmation from Jeep.
The 2018 Jeep Pickup Truck will meet many competitors in the market and Chevy Colorado Z71, GMC Canyon, Honda Ridgeline are some names in that list.
