The Mercedes’s-Benz is set to push its saloon styling to the extreme with its 2018 Mercedes-Benz CLS. The Mercedes-Benz logo is one of the most renowned symbols across the globe. The CLS five-door coupe is based on recently released E-Class and has similar engines and transmissions executive models. However, the new model will focus more on luxury and style.
2018 Mercedes-Benz CLS – Spotted Testing
The new CLS is spotted under the black and white camouflage. While the front end looks like a flattened nose, the front comes with reviewed front grille and the latest slimmer headlights. It is expected that the 2018 Mercedes-Benz CLS will have a beltline that rises more towards the rear than before. The taillights on the rear will be the most recognizable design change; they are similar to those on S-Class coupe but will be horizontal.
The five-door CLS comes with a sumptuous detailed interior. It has carbon-fiber interior trim, multicolor LED ambient lighting arrangement, hand-fitted leather seats, full-length console individual seating for four and wood inlay.
It is also anticipated that the latest CLS will have several crucial technological updates such as upgraded COMAND infotainment system and new advanced safety features available in previous models. The safety elements to be included are active lane keeping, blind spot assist, collision prevention assist, 9 airbags, and rollover protection system among others. Another significant additional feature could be Car-to-X Communication that allows the car to communicate with other versions and tell when there are traffic threats ahead.
The cabin offers no surprises, with the new 2018 Mercedes-Benz CLS borrowing clues from the E- Class. It has a broad two-tier luxurious appeal with four center-mounted circular vents set. With the air filtering, the cabin is clean and free from odor and dust.
Audio and entertainment features include:
- Android Auto
- Kardon LOGIC7 sound system
- Voice control with a learning feature
- Turn-In radio
- Central remote controllers and an 8-inch freestanding display.
