The 2017 Toyota Highlander is a brand new version of its legendary SUV lineup, and it made its debut in New York Auto Show 2016. Toyota has been holding out this 4th generation model for quite a long time, but due to the current market condition has compelled them to unveil it. To improve the attributes of the car, Toyota will try to reduce the emission rate so that it can be a better response in the market.

To enhance its exterior and interior of the SUV, Toyota has applied some new design ideas which will make the SUV more young and luxurious. In 2014, it had sales figure around 146,127, but in 2015, the sales jumped into 158,915 and makers are hoping that this 2017 will extend this number by more margin. Most of the details of Highlander is still under mystery, but it will surely carry forward the legacy of its predecessor.

The overall look of Toyota Highlander 2017 will be almost similar to its 2016 model,but front fascia is expected to get some new modifications. Front area will have a better belligerent, and it will be complemented by matt finish three grille slats. The side part of the front area will have a headlight with revamped LED accent; chrome adorned lower panel, fog lights, and modified bonnet.

Rest of the portion will carry a 19-inch alloy wheel, roof rail, chrome window surrounding, large spoiler, LED tail lamp, modified trailer hitch, black trim bumper, etc. Apart from these most of the parts in the exterior has remained unchanged thus helping in retaining the authentic look of the car.

According to experts, Toyota Highlander 2017 will receive some exciting updates in the interior space although there won’t be any design changes. Seating arrangement will remain same, but the leather material will be upgraded depending on the trim. The whole interior will get two tone color shades along with a new dash panel.

To improve its comfort feature, Toyota will install 5 USB ports all around the cabin so that passengers can better connectivity and charging point. To cope up with the current trend, it will carry all kind of safety features that protect the driver and passengers from any accident.

New 2017 Toyota Highlander will get three engine options, and all these engines will be coupled with new six-speed or eight-speed automatic transmission. The base engine will be 2.4-liter four-cylinder; the second one will be a 3.5-liter 2GR-FKS V6 that can produce 270 hp and 250 lb-ft, and the last one will be a  hybrid 3.5-liter V6.  All these models will have the option to switch between AWD and FWD which will help it produce a mileage around 20 mpg in city and 26 mpg on the highway.

The 2017 Toyota Highlander will hit showrooms by the end of 2016, but there isn’t any news about the exact date. Base price will be around $31,500 while the top trim will cost around $51,500.
