2018 Toyota Highlander Release Date, Changes

For those who looking for a reliable and well-rounded SUV, the 2018 Toyota Highlander presents itself as a perfect choice. Despite the tough competition in the SUV world, the Toyota has managed to keep the Highlander on top of it, thanks to a number of improvements and upgrades.

Since the 2017 variant was already among the most popular SUVs, the Japanese automaker has decided not to make any drastic changes. Instead, it opted for subtle enhancements and a general refresh. With these, the upcoming Highlander is expected to challenge the Honda Pilot, the Ford Explorer and the Volkswagen Atlas.

2018 Toyota Highlander – Elegant Style

Right from the get-go, the 2018 Toyota Highlander looks like the perfect example of a fine balance between that SUV ruggedness and an elegant style. It would seem that the Japanese engineers were a bit dissatisfied with the athleticism of the previous model.

In order to address this issue, they have decided to put more emphasis on sporty and athletic features. For starters, the upcoming Highlander will feature a much larger, more aggressive grille and substantially sleeker headlights. Thanks to the SUV’s blunt nose, these headlights appear even smaller than they really are.

In addition to the new grille, we can see smoother lines and a blackout trim package. The rest of the Highlander’s exterior features are pretty much the same as the previous model’s. These include 18-inch wheels, revamped LED taillights and a familiar rear bumper.

Interior Features and Tech

When it comes to the interior of the 2018 Toyota Highlander, we can safely say that it will be quite similar to the previous model’s interior. And that is a good thing because the 2017 Highlander has received a lot of praise for its roominess, convenience and comfort. The Toyota is more than aware that the Highlander’s interior is one of its strongest points. Therefore, it decided not to change it, but instead only to add a few features.

The 2018 Toyota Highlander`s seats are fully covered in leather and adjustable, which makes them perfect for long distance trips. The cabin space is plentiful, providing lots of headroom and legroom, as well as cargo options. Even though Toyota claims that the Highlander is capable of accommodating up to 7 grown persons, adults should try to avoid the 3rd seat row.

In the front, we can see a well designed and ergonomic dashboard, which features conveniently placed controls. In the tech department, the 2018 Toyota Highlander will sport an automatic climate control, an 8-inch touchscreen, a high-end audio system, BlueRay and DVD players and more.
